When I became a mother, I wanted to capture my son's
every emotion and every milestone. Why not? Babies grow every month, reaching
new milestones, and we should collect these beautiful memories for a lifetime,
shouldn't we?
3. Capture good moods. As parents, we know when our baby is most cheerful. For example, when my son was an infant, he used to be happy and in a good mood after an afternoon nap or bath.
4. Use props. Anything can be a prop for a kids' photoshoot, such as a toy, a cap, or oversized sunglasses. The only rule is that kids shouldn't be uncomfortable. If you use props that interest them, you'll get better results when taking photos.
5. Be natural and candid. Capture photos when kids are naturally playing, doing something, or laughing. Don't try to make them laugh unnecessarily or force them to act for the camera. A candid moment always produces a good picture.
Don't focus on taking a perfect photo; instead, focus on capturing the moment with your kid. That's how we make memories, right?
Every parent wants to capture
their little one perfectly, but hiring a photographer for a candid shoot every
month can be expensive. In such a scenario, is it possible to capture your
baby's happy moments? Yes, very much so, if you have a good-quality camera
phone (these days, everyone has one) or an SLR camera.
So here are my 5 photography tips for all the new parents so they
can capture their little ones perfectly:
- Avoid using zoom on the phone camera. When you zoom and click,
photos become pixelated when printed. Also, the quality of photos doesn't
look good when uploaded on Instagram or Facebook. Instead of zooming, take
close-up pictures.
2. Utilize natural light. Always take photos in natural light. If you are
taking pictures inside a room, open curtains, and windows. Natural light
produces better-quality pictures.
